Abstract

|
A 25 year old female with hereditary spherocytosis was presented. Epigastric fullness,
severe jaundice of sclera and palpitation were her chief complaints. Diagnosis was leased
on hemolytic anemia, splenomegaly, spherocytes in peripheral blood smears and markedly
increased osmotic fragility. Splenectomy could not be done because of patient's family
trouble. Review of pertinent literatures were made.
